Research

My main areas of focus are firm innovativeness and environmental marketing. Recent work resulted in a scale for measuring innovativeness and insights into the impacts of culture and climate on both innovativeness and firm performance. With respect to environmental marketing, a recent project investigated the differences between the perspectives of citizens and company managers regarding corporate social responsibility.

  • Assessing the value of voice-of-the-customer research for the value-added wood products industry
  • Innovativeness and its impact on implementation of social responsibility practices: comparing U.S. firms with global competitors
  • Strategic communication in the U.S. forest sector
  • Adoption of ecosystem services innovations in the U.S. forest sector
