Two Master's Positions Open for 2018

Position 1:

Seeking a graduate student interested in the science of adhesion as it applies to wood composites. This will be a fundamental study involving micro and nano measurements and accompanying mathematical modeling of adhesive bonds in particulate and laminated wood-based composites.

Position includes full tuition, living stipend, and health care benefits. Upon completion of the program, student will receive assistance in securing employment.

Qualifications: BS degree in chemistry, materials science, wood science, or closely related field.

Research sponsor: National Science Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Wood-Based Composites (http://wbc.vt.edu).

Position available January 1, 2019, or until a suitable candidate is identified.
