WHAT IS WOOD MAGIC?
October 7-9, 2008

An Interactive Program on Wood As A Resource

Oregon Wood Magic is a 3 hour interactive experience designed to educate elementary school teachers and their students about the wonders of wood as a material. It is primarily designed for third and fourth grades, but can accommodate blended 2/3 or 4/5 classes. Students and their teachers visit a series of 9 stations that cover aspects of science and technology relative to wood and wood products. The stations are designed to be visually stimulating and interactive. The goal is to educate students about wood material and encourage them to think about resource issues. Each station is connected to a series of lesson plans.
